Your Community Connections Team at MAGMA<\/strong> has been BUSY, partnering with the community, making new friends, and trying new things.<\/p>\n<\/div>\nThis summer, we hosted 49 events<\/strong>! Were you there?! We learned how to ride and care for our bicycles with La Bikery<\/strong>, built our own kites with Linges au<\/strong>\u00a0Ciel<\/strong>, explored Resurgo<\/strong>, discovered the tidal bore<\/strong>\u2026 and so much more! But the best part? Working with community partners to connect with and support so many new faces in Moncton<\/strong>.<\/div>\n\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/magma-amgm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/image-20250716-173252-7221a2ba-600x800.jpeg\")

A special shout-out goes to the Riverview Junior Leaders<\/strong>, who joined us every Wednesday to help plan and facilitate<\/p>\n<\/div>\nevents. This remarkable group of young people steps up to learn, lead, and give back. The program empowers youth to take on real leadership roles, build confidence, and volunteer their time to make a difference.<\/p>\n
Inspiring newcomer youth can be intimidating\u2014it takes empathy, patience, and courage, especially when you\u2019re still a young leader yourself and meeting people from cultures you may not yet know. These Junior Leaders have proven that leadership isn\u2019t about age, but about heart. <\/div>\nOur Community Connections team has cooked up something truly special: the\u00a0Convo & Cooking Club:\u00a0<\/b>a monthly cooking class led by newcomer women, for newcomer women. With the kind support of the YWCA<\/strong> and Beechwood Community Centre<\/strong>, each month a head chef has the opportunity to share a recipe that means something to her – perhaps a treasured family dish, a flavour that reminds her of home, or a meal that carries a special story.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nCooking together is more than just preparing food, it\u2019s an act of connection. Even when we come from different countries, speak different languages, or have\u00a0different traditions, food gives us a common ground. \u00a0It\u2019s about more than feeding ourselves; it\u2019s about caring for one another, preserving culture, and creating something beautiful together.<\/div>\nAnother thing that brings ingredients, and people, together? Eggs! With the popularity of the program growing, we\u2019ve also been fortunate to receive the generous support of the Egg Farmers of New Brunswick<\/strong>. Representing 15 dedicated egg-farming families across the province, they work to ensure a steady supply of fresh, high-quality eggs while supporting sustainable farming for future generations.
